Who is Toby?
Toby has been in the events industry from the age of 16, formally DJing for the likes of Google & Virgin as well as running events across the UK and Europe.
Launching the Silent Disco over 10 years ago, he has vast experience organising and executing events across the World. With a entrepreneurial spirit he continues to innovate the business and bring new products and ideas to ensure customers are never disappointed.

The Story So Far
2008 — The Beginning
At just 16, I started my entrepreneurial journey as a children’s entertainer, performing up to ten parties a week with nothing more than a “man and van” setup. This early experience taught me the foundations of customer service, hard work, and delivering unforgettable experiences.
2010 — Stepping Into Corporate Entertainment
I transitioned into DJing for high-end and corporate clients, performing for brands such as Google and Virgin. This opened doors to international events and long-standing relationships that continue to this day, elevating my understanding of premium service and global event delivery.
2013 — The Silent Disco Company Is Born
Seeing a gap in the market, I launched The Silent Disco Company with a vision to provide a premium silent disco solution for corporate and luxury events. Starting with just 200 headphones, demand surged quickly, and within six months we scaled to 5,000 units, establishing ourselves as a leader in the field.
2015 — Expanding the Business & First Commercial Property
At 22, I purchased our first commercial property to support the company's growth and begin building a long-term portfolio. In just two years, we expanded to over 12,000 headphones, delivered more than 2,000 events annually, and grew our team to IO people, all fuelled by continuous reinvestment and innovation.
2022 — New Brands, Same Vision
Post COVID, we diversified by creating new brands that aligned with our core mission of "creating memories through celebrations. " This led to the launch of The Karaoke Hire Company, The Screen Hire Company, and Flashbands UK, each offering unique ways to elevate events and expand our reaCh.
2025 — A Decade of Growth
Ten years on, our team has grown to 18 talented individuals. We now stock over 25,000 headphones in the UK, plus an additional 2,000 in Dubai following our expansion in 2023. We proudly support more than 5,500 events every year. Alongside the events growth, my commercial property portfolio has reached €4 million in value, and we aim to acquire a new property each year.
